Margaret (Maggie) Lewis Warwick has more than thirty-five year’s professional activity in the music industry. Her involvements include artistic endeavors and business activities. She is a singer/songwriter, musician, producer, and music publisher. Maggie began her adventures in music as a teenager in West Texas when she organized her first band in high school, “Margaret Lewis & The Thunderbolts!” She was invited by Johnny Horton and Tillman Franks to join the “Louisiana Hayride” after she won a talent show they produced with KDAV Radio Station in Lubbock, Texas. She moved to Shreveport with her family in the late ‘50’s and performed with Horton and many other stars on the original Louisiana Hayride until it closed in 1960. She then moved to Nashville and became actively involved in the music business there working in songwriting, production & publishing with Shelby Singleton, Mira Smith, Jeannie C. Riley and many top artists and musicians. Among her numerous award-winning songs includes the classic, “Reconsider Me”, both a #1 R&B hit by one of New Orleans’ greatest singers, Johnny Adams, and #1 Country hit by Narvel Felts. Her rock classic, “Soul Shake” was a major hit by Delaney & Bonnie Bramlett, with multiple versions following including the Angela Strehli R&B masterpiece and a roaring rendition by actor/musician Bruce Willis. She has had over a hundred songs recorded in albums and singles by such artists as Jeannie C. Riley, Dolly Parton, Lynn Anderson, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Connie Francis and many more. The Country Music Foundation’s, 2005 GRAMMY winner, “Night Train To Nashville” featured two of her compositions. She has co-written several songs with Sen. Orrin Hatch, one of which was included in the soundtrack of a Lifetime TV movie. Top selling R&B artists Jimmy Barnes of Australia recently recorded an amazing version of “Reconsider Me” in his latest CD. She is the recipient of many BMI Awards.
Bo Roberts was born in Chester, Arkansas. At the age of eleven he met Buddy Holly and promptly went off to buy a guitar. His first paying job was with John Fogerty. For three years he was the lead guitar and band leader for Hank Williams, Jr. He also played lead guitar for Gene Watson. Roberts has written songs for Gene Watson, among them the #1 hit, “You’re Out Doing What I’m Here Doing Without.” He also wrote the song, “Ten With A Two,” for Willie Nelson. He has had songs cut by Rose Maddox, Stoney Edwards and several others.
Shamarr Allen is a world renown, musician that has worked decades toperfect his craft and created a new style of music. As the leader of his triumphant Underdawgs, this NOLA trumpeter, MC and musical icon has developed a unique style that marries all genres of music, jazz, hip hop, funk, rock and a dash of pop for good measure. Shamarr’s skills have been in demand for over a decade and he’s a regular and crucial part of the local music scene. Some of Shamarr’s accomplishments include a performance for President Barack Obama, multi-city tour with country icon Willie Nelson, studio sessions with Ray Price, Leon Russell, and R.E.M., and he’s composed the anthem for the Saints, “Bring ‘Em To The Dome” and released the oil spill song “Sorry Ain’t Enough No More.” The band also recently toured Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as cultural ambassadors for the United States Department of State.
